Bio:

I joined the FEWSUS team because I had a desire to use my background in natural sciences to find solutions to the most pressing matters in urban sustainability efforts. My research focuses primarily on constructed wetlands and how they can be used to efficiently treat and store wastewater and storm water in larger cities. Ideally, these wetlands could be a viable and more sustainable alternative to centralized wastewater treatment plants. Through my research, I hope to help implement pieces of green infrastructure such as these in local areas, specifically my hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee.
