Dr. Jie Liu received her Ph.D. in hydrogeology from the University of Alabama, U.S. in 2007. She was a postdoctoral fellow at Peking University from 2007 to 2009. Since 2009, she has been the research scientist in the College of Engineering (COE), Peking University. Dr. Liu’s major study areas include groundwater flow and transport modeling, basin-scale groundwater management, sustainable water resources management, and water-energy-nexus. Since 2017 she has acted as the Director of Global Exchange Program (Globex) and the Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP) for the education globalization at COE.
