Bio:

Logan Pederson is a graduate student and former analytical chemist at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in environmental and soil science, with an emphasis in soil and water chemistry. While originally from Chicago, Illinois, Logan has lived in the Knoxville region for over 25 years. His professional goals include earning a PhD and pursuing a career in areas related to research and development. More specifically, Logan would like to work on emerging environmental issues associated with per and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and the factors that influence their retention in soil. Logan would also like to partner with institutions who are developing technologies designed to resolve issues caused by PFAS in promotion of a more sustainable future.
