Bio:

Dr. Xun Zhu is a professor in College of Power Engineering and vice-director of Institute of Engineering Thermophysics at Chongqing University, China. Dr. Zhu is also a leading researcher in Key Laboratory of Low-grade Energy Utilization Technologies and Systems, Ministry of Education, China. She is the Winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the entrepreneurship leader of National ten thousand plan science and technology, the Winner of Education Ministry’s New Century Excellent Talents Supporting Plan and the “Bayu” Distinguished Professor of Chongqing. She also serves as the chief scientist of the the National Key R&D Program of China, the leader of Innovation Team in Key Fields of Innovative Talents Promotion Plan of Ministry of Science and Technology, professional committee member of the 8th Council of Chinese Society for Engineering Thermophysics(CSETP). She focuses her research on multiphase and multicomponent transport phenomena in fuel cells, multiphase flow and heat and mass transfer in microscale geometries involving in bio/chemical reactions, energy conversion and upgrading by microorganism, flow and heat transfer related to energy saving and emission reduction. She has chaired more than 10 research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and Ministry of Science and Technology of China etc. She authored and co-authored more than 300 papers in international journals with citation more than 5000 times, holds 40 Chinese patents and contributed three chapter to books published by Springer and CRC Press, respectively.
