Bio:

My passions, as an aspiring physician, related to FEWSUS are water safety and food consumption. These things directly impact rural communities and affect infant health and mortality rates. Susceptibility to gastrointestinal diseases and other deadly illnesses become of high concern. Also, repeated bouts of diarrhea can rapidly take nutrients out of the body, or an intestinal infection of parasites can be a death sentence to children within the first 1,000 days. Quality of life in thriving societies are associated with good sanitation systems, hydrologic cycles, and watershed management. These concerns also influence crop yield, migration, and supply chain Management.
